Pink 47 Tom Collins

Ingredients

6cl.    Pink 47 gin
3cl.    Fresh Lemon Juice

1cl     Simple Syrup

Soda water to top up

Glass: Collins or Highball

•Origin: Mid 1800’s at Limmer’s Hotel, London by John Collins. Drink was named after the slightly sweet Old Tom gin originally used. 

Preparation

Add the first three ingredients to an ice filled Collins glass, top with soda water and stir gently. Garnish with citrus fruit slices and cherry. 

Garnish 

Lemon and orange slices plus a cocktail cherry

Tips

Adjust syrup addition to taste. Also known as a Gin Fizz, made popular during prohibition when it was customary to shake the first three ingredients. A Gin Rickey uses lime instead of lemon juice.
